According to his arrest report, Alvarez-Corro robbed the victim at gunpoint just before 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 18, 2022, as the victim, his wife and his son were walking along the 4500 block of Royal Palm Avenue.

Miami Beach police said Alvarez-Corro got out of a black Honda Accord, pointed a gun at the victim and demanded his watch and jewelry.

The victim gave up his watch, but he and his wife began to argue with Alvarez-Corro after he demanded jewelry from her, authorities said.

According to the report, Alvarez-Corro eventually got back into the car and took off.

Police said he was arrested on Dec. 4, 2023, in connection with a separate pair of armed robberies that occurred in Miami Beach, at which time an iPhone he had in his possession was confiscated as evidence.

According to the report, a search warrant was obtained for the phone, which revealed numerous photos of guns, watches, money, receipts, jewelry and drugs.

Police said two photos depicted the victim’s watch, which were taken inside the getaway car right after the robbery.

The watch’s serial number was visible in an 18-second video that was also taken right after the robbery, authorities said.

Alvarez-Corro was arrested in connection with the 2022 armed robbery on Monday.

As of Wednesday afternoon, he remained held at the Miami-Dade County Pre-Trial Detention Center without bond.

The location of the watch remains unknown.
