MIAMI – A woman in her 70s was rushed to a hospital Wednesday morning after being struck by a car in Miami, authorities confirmed.
The crash was reported at 7:22 a.m. in the 1700 block of Northwest 27th Avenue.

According to Miami police, an 18-wheeler rear-ended a car, causing the car to go onto the sidewalk where it struck the victim.
A City of Miami Fire Rescue crew transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Her condition has not been released.
Police did not immediately confirm whether the driver of the 18-wheeler was cited.
