S-C-O-H-O-L zone startles drivers in Pembroke Pines

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A big mistake on the blacktop caused drivers to hit the brakes in Pembroke Pines.

It seems workers misspelled the word school while doing some road painting on Thursday.

They painted S-C-O-H-O-L instead.

The giant typo happening on Johnson Street near 200th Ave.

It was definitely not the best place to make a mistake since hundreds of kids go to Chapel Trail Elementary not far from there.

Residents in the area spotted the error as soon as the paint dried and reported it.

We’re told workers got back out there and fixed the mistake within hours.
