Former Dolphin Damien Williams arrested after alleged fight with pregnant woman over dog food

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – A former Miami Dolphins running back is facing domestic abuse charges after police said he got into a dispute with a pregnant woman over their dog’s food.

According to an arrest report, Damien Williams, 31, was arrested on Jan. 22 after the victim said the dispute escalated and Williams grabbed her by the neck.

Coconut Creek Police officers arrived at the home and said they observed several scratch marks and bruising on the victim’s arms.

The victim told the officer she was 10 weeks pregnant and expecting Williams’ child.

Williams faces aggravated battery charges on a pregnant woman.

The running back played four seasons with the Miami Dolphins. He most recently played for the Arizona Cardinals before his release from the team in November.
